We invite and encourage all seniors age 60 and up to visit our Elkmont Senior Center located in the Depot, downtown Elkmont. Hours are 8:00 am to 12:00 noon daily. There’s something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!

Nutrition: Delicious balanced lunches served daily at the center. Also home delivered meals for shut-in seniors who are not physically able to prepare meals for themselves. ($1 donation requested per meal) Weekly menu printed in the News Courier each Sunday.

Exercise: A program geared for seniors to increase flexibility, strengthen muscles, improve circulation, and maintain overall physical health.

Recreation: Fun and games – Dominos, Joker, Bingo, good conversation and lots of laughs! Occasionally a movie or special activities planned.

Guest speakers: From time to time guest speakers discuss topics such as fire safety, make-up, insurance, etc. and the nurse comes once a month.

Transportation: Rides available to medical facilities and grocery store.

Entertainment: Come to dance or just enjoy the music as the band performs live on Monday nights at 6:30. Concessions sold include soft drinks, pop corn, cookies and sometimes homemade chili. Donation box and sign-in sheets located on the table.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday: Exercise, games, good conversation and lunch

Thursday: Games, good conversation and lunch

Monday Night (6:30pm) Live band, dancing, and concessions

All of our programs and services are funded by Town of Elkmont, Limestone County Commission, TARCOG Area Agency on Aging, Athens Limestone Foundation for Aging, Inc., and donations. Everyone is given the opportunity to contribute for services provided.
